An old couple Sunkarabbayi and Satyakala of Anaparthi town in East Godavari district are in agony and hoping that their daughter and grand son will be saved. Nirmala Jyothi got wedded to Ravuri Raghunath in 2007 and have given dowry whatever demanded by the bride groom. Both being physiotherapists, they went to Canada. Nirmala who came for delivery was harassed for additional dowry. When she went back to Canada with his delivered son, her husband continued to harass.
