In the backdrop of reports doing the rounds that Power Star Pawan Kalyan would be joining the TDP, there is a possibility of permutations and combinations changing in that party. Nandamuri Hari Krishna and his son Jr. NTR have been fighting with Chandra Babu Naidu over succession to the party's reins. With this a war like situation is prevailing between the two families. Hari Krishna has been keeping himself away from all party activities. Jr. NTR has not been attending even important programmes of the party.
Chandrababu's efforts for rapport with them did not fructify. It is learnt that Naidu came to the conclusion that a show down with them was the only alternative. It was exactly at this time Pawan Kalyan walked in and offered to join the party, like an oasis to a thirsty man. Snatching the opportunity, Naidu started preparing strategies to put a checkmate to Jr. NTR. He is trying to use the glamour of Pawan fully for the benefit of the party. He also made arrangments to leak the information about Pawan joining the party, to Hari Krishna and Jr. NTR through partymen. Party sources said that Babu sent a warning to Hari Krishna and Jr. NTR through this feeler. Naidu wants to declare Lokesh as his heir apparent through Pawan in the ensuing Mini Mahanadu, say sources. This would mean that he would be striking two birds with one shot.
