MP Murali Mohan spoke in Lok Sabha today and said that it is really sad that a farmer committed suicide in the capital. He said, "As Lok Sabha sessions are being held at the same time, we are talking of this suicide. But, we should think over the farmer suicides that are happening all over India these days. Why are they committing suicides? Because of cyclone, drought conditions, no minimum price for the crops, unable to pay back the loans taken, interests piled up for loans."
