Artists Performance:
Lawrence: Playing multiple characters tested his acting abilities to the fullest. One must say he excelled in the roles of Raghava, Shiva, Ghost, Girl Child and Aged Woman. The only defect is that he goes overboard at times and tests the patience of the audience.
Tapsee: We might have seen her doing Bubbly or Glamorous Roles in many films. But, what she has done in 'Ganga' is very different and she will always be proud of taking the tough decision of signing this movie.
Nithya Menon: Its something this supremely talented actress hasn't done earlier. That's why she treats 'Ganga' as a very special film in her career and her character in the flashback will blow your mind.
Kovai Sarala, Manobala and Sreeman played their parts well. Jayaprakash as Antagonist did justice to his role.
Plus Points:
- Lawrence multiple avatars
- Nithya Menon's performance
- Humour & Thrills
- First Half
Minus Points:
- Too Lengthy (168 Min)
- Climax
Analysis:
'Ganga' is the third part in 'Muni' Franchise and its a genre Lawrence is very successful until now. Has the Choreographer-turned-Filmmaker delivered a potential Box Office winner again? Let's see...!
Songs appeal to the masses and Background Score is too loud at times. Cinematography is decent. Computer Graphics weren't good enough. Editing could have been better, especially in latter half. Production Values are ordinary.
'Ganga' offers everything one expects from a film made in the horror-comedy genre. For those audience who loved 'Muni' & 'Kanchana', 'Ganga' will be a feast to watch. Others who doesn't enjoy mass horror-comedies could comfortably stay away from it.
Box Office: 'Ganga - Muni 3' is likely to set the cash registers ringing in all the mass circuits. A pre-release theatrical business of Rs 17 crore for a film in this genre is huge. Still, 'Ganga' might end up as either safe or profitable venture.
Verdict: Only For Masses!
