Small budget films are having a ball these days as high budget films are staying safe due to the political situation in our state. So many low budget films are releasing to make use of this vacuum and one of those is Kiss, directed by Adivi Sesh

What is it about?

Seenu (Adivi Sesh) stops Priya (Priya Benarjee) from committing suicide and tells her to spend some quality time before dying. Priya likes the idea and go ahead with Seenu and learns the sweet nothings of life and also fall in love with him.

Performances:

Adivi Sesh has decent looks and also knows to act. He should work on his expressions in comedy scenes and also fine tune few of his skills to go to the next level. He tried to do a character that needs someone like Raviteja to pull it off. It is a big challenge for budding actor like Sesh and he did an okay job. Priya Benarjee is cute and did well within her limitations. Shafi is wasted. Bharath Reddy is given pivotal role and he is alright. Most of the star cast are either newcomers or locals of San Fransisco. They didn't get their act right.

Technicalities:

Sound track is very poor, but background score is good in few scenes. Cinematography is neat. Beautiful locations of San Fransisco helped the cinematographer. Editing is not up to the mark. Dialogues are poor. Some money should have been spent on seasoned character artistes instead of settling for new actors who doesn't know how to act. Story is wafer thin and screenplay goes awry. Direction by Sesh is Okay in few scenes, but on a whole he failed to bring the desired impact. Poor choice of script doesn't give him much scope to make a memorable film.

Analysis:

Kiss hardly has any story and is completely illogical. Heroine deciding to commit suicide without even trying to convince her father is not at all convincing. She is a citizen of US and also gets entry into Oxford University. This part makes her decision all the more unconvincing. Later she decides to roam around with a complete stranger, who is also a thief by profession. Kiss starts off on such illogical foundation and never moves ahead from that point.

Lengthy and boring scenes which neither entertains nor engages you will bore you to death. Songs are additional torture to this painful film and interval point rise some hope. However, bad screenplay never lets the film to take the right path and suddenly it shifts to emotional mode and climax of the film is an absolute pain to watch. Title justification is done with hero and heroine Kissing each other. If the film's sole purpose is this, they should have kissed much earlier to keep audience away from more torture.

There is nothing noteworthy about this film and it will be difficult to watch it completely on Television too. Kiss is one of those pointless and purposeless movies which come and go. Keep distance and Stay Safe from this romantic comedy that will make you repent every minute that you sit in the theaters.

Verdict: 'Kiss' Kills!
