TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has assured setting up of a commission to assess the proposal to induct the strong and wide spread Kapu community in the state into BC category, one of the long pending demands. The Kapu community has not been given due recognition by Congress even after getting Kapu votes through back door by merger of Chiranjeevi Chiranjeevi party .
The TDP supremo who met the Kapu leaders at his residence yesterday has assured the Kapu,Telaga, Ontari and Balija communities that their interests will be protected by the party without harming the other BC groups..' TDP will also ear mark some nominated posts for Kapus to promote their all round growth' he assured .
Kapu community had finally realized their fault of distancing from the TDP in 2009 and were totally dejected after their mass leader Chiranjeevi sold the Praja Rajyam party lock, stock and barrel to the Congress for sake of some posts and seats .'Actor turned congress man Chiranjeevi true colors have now been exposed ' said the Kapu leaders who lamented that Chiranjeevi had launched party as per YSR design to split 18 % Kapu votes from TDP.
