YSRC president YS Jagan met a bitter experience in his drive to win over TDP loyalists to his camp at Nimmakuru village, native of TDP founder NTR.
Jagan was in Nimmakuru to invite a NTR relative Peda Venkateswar Rao who is also a prominent TDP leader of Krishna district to join YSRC. Jagan has been touring seemandhra towns with an intent to enlist all disgruntled elements of TDP and congress into his fold.
On the ocassion Jagan wanted to garland a statue of NTR in the village. He was almost there near the statue when he was stopped by villagers. Pl don't do it. Don't garland NTR statue. If you do it we will wash it with milk later.
Jagan coolly gave up the effort but told the villagers that he had great respect for NTR as the true leader of Telugu's who shrived to keep the state together. 'It was NTR who brought the 610 GO to benefit Telagnana people and there by keep the state together' he said.
