Vijayawada Lok Sabha MP and expelled Congress member Lagdapati is the newsmaker of the day. February 13, 2014 will be remembered forever in the history of Indian parliament and Lagadapati's name too. Rajagopal has done a never-before-seen, unthinkable, unprecedented act in Lok Sabha on Thurday daring his own government. He has used pepper spray on Thursday apparently only after he was attacked by a mob of opponent MPs. Here is what Seemandhra MPs have to say on this incident.

Admitting that he used pepper spray, Lagadapati claimed that he used it only when he and his collegaues from Seemnahdra were attacked by opposite group. He set the record straight, "Yes, I've used the pepper spray . Government should be ashamed for the whole event. Meira Kumar acting as Congress' agent. Why only 16 of us were suspended when around 100 MPs came into well. Why not all the 100 MPs were suspended and what is the reason for my suspension? I used it only for my defence. There is no rule which states that Pepper spray cannot be used."

Undavalli Arun Kumar added, "What is the menaing of democracy when MPs don't have safety in parliament itself. We're being attacked by opponents and that is when Rajagopal used pepper spray. Uncensored video footage must be released so that actual facts will come out."

Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy commented, "Democracy is killed in parliament today. Telangana Bill should not be tabled in the way speaker introduced. If this happens today, Tomorrow any other government in parliament could divide any other state in the nation for their whims and fancies."

With these turn of events in Lok Sabha, the act of Lagdapati catches attention of whole nation who dubbed it as "new low" in parliament. But let's go into how far Lagadapati's "Pepper spray" act fetch United Andhra protagonists. Is it a hit? or flop? Is it Lagadapati's self-goal? Let's get into detailed analysis.

In one way, his "Pepper spray" act has helped to highight the plight of Seemandhra people and intensity of emotions, tempers to whole nation. He also highlighted the way Congress is breaching all the rules, conventions for its mere political gain in forthcoming elections. This act compelled opposition party BJP to back off on Telangana Bill citing the chaotic atmosphere. BJP said that they're not aware of when T-Bill is introduced in Parliament. They alleged that the Bill copies were not circulated to them and hasn't debated on the Bill. This opened to can of worms between BJP and Congress which happened because of Lagadapati. So, Lagdapati's pepper spray act succeeded in splitting Government, Opposition. BJP

On flip side, Rajagopal, other Seemandhra MPs have given free-chance to Speaker Meira Kumar, Congress government to suspend form the house which in turn gives free-hand for both Congres and BJP to pass the AP Reorganization Bill 2013 smoothly. Then his act is seen as nothing but self-goal as he is not allowed to proceedings in house during crucial Bill. However, it's too early to come to conclusion whether it's hit or flop. To an extent, Lagadapati has plainly succeeded. He turned into hero of Seemandhra people. Let's wait and watch what is Lagadapati & co's course of action.
