Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandra Sekhar Rao has reportedly turned down the invitation of Andhra Pradesh CM-designate Chandra Babu Naidu for his swearing-in ceremony. Although Babu offered olive branch and personally invited KCR through phone and sent feelers for truce, KCR is not in a mood to attend Babu's swearing-in ceremony that is going to happen on June 8 in Guntur.

Given that KCR didn't invite Chandra Babu personally, Chandra Babu and T-TDP leaders skipped KCR's oath taking ceremony that took place on June 2 at Raj Bhavan in Hyderabad. KCR now heading for New Delhi and set to meet President Pranab Mukherjee, PM Narendra Modi, Home Minitser Rajanth Singh over Polavaram Irrigation Ordinance that allows merger of seven mandals of Khammam district into Seemandhra. Although KCR's absence at Babu's swearing-in is no big surprise, it is going to send wrong message to people of both states Seemandhra, Telangana. Already there is a huge gap between counterparts, and a lot of apprehensions among people of Seemandhra, KCR's steps are only making things worse further. It's high time KCR to accpet olive branch of Babu and call for truce for the well-being of both Telangana, Andhra Pradesh.
