Machilipatnam Court of Krishna district has summoned Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao for his remarks against Brahmin community from Seemandhra. The Second-Additional Court, Machilipatnam, has ordered the Telangana Chief Minister to attend the case personally on July 21. Local Brahmin Association in Krishna district has lodged the case against KCR for his remarks against them.

It may be recalled that KCR has earlier stated that "Andhra Brahmins are more interested in styling, fashion." The statement instantly drew flak from the community cutting across regions. Many leaders of the community called the statement as a move to "divide" Community and "raising hatred" within their community. This is not one instance KCR kicked up a controversy. His statements have been controversial and were turned into police cases in various police stations and are in various phases now.
