Jana Reddy has been unanimously elected as the Legislature Party Leader of Telangana Congress on Tuesday. "I will work to strengthen Congress party and make sure it emerges victorious in 2019 Polls," pledges the 7-time MLA post the election.

Apparently, DK Aruna, Geetha Reddy, Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka and Uttam Kumar Reddy have been in race for Legislature Party Leader post. AICC Leaders Vayalar Ravi and Digvijay Singh interacted with all the elected T-Congress MLAs before announcing Legislature Party Leader. Finally, Jana Reddy with his vast experience bagged the chance to lead the Congress party in T-Assembly.

Despite playing a key role in Telangana formation, Congress managed to win just 21-odd MLA seats in the recent General elections and this defeat forced the National party to share the Opposition status with other political parties. Ponnala Lakshmaiah's inefficiency as T-PCC Chief, Group War among Top Leaders and Failing to take the message that Telangana is a reality only because of Congress has costed them dearly. Now, The responsibility lies on Jana Reddy to revive the party in Telangana.
