Andhra Pradesh Home Minister cum Deputy Chief Minister Nimmakayala Chinnarajappa has hit out at his Telangana counterpart Nayini Narsimha Reddy. Staking claim for acting first on the Beas River tragedy in Himachal Pradesh, Chinnarajappa took a dig at Nayini for "politicising the issue" but "not taking enough measures" in the issue.
Chinnarajappa stated on Wednesday in East Godavari, "We swiftly acted on the issue and arranged flights, accommodation for the victims' families. We're first to announce 5 Lakh exgratia to the bereaved families. It's Chandra Babu Naidu who swung into the action and spoke to central home minister Rajnath singh, Himachal CM over the issue and got things done. Nayini has just politicised the issue rather than solving it." Nayini and T-ministers are yet to react on Nimmakayala's comments.
