Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao sought the appointment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to discuss over the plans to set up 7,600 MW Thermal Plant in Nalgonda District.

Government has identified 7,800 acres for the proposed Nalgonda Thermal Plant. However, Some portions of this land fall in the Forest Area. So, T-Govt. needs Central clearance for Forest Land to move ahead.

KCR had already conveyed this matter to Union environment minister Prakash Javadekar. He now wishes to meet Modi for speeding up the process. The TRS Boss will also be seeking National status to Pranahita Chevella project during this meeting.
