After claiming to rule the state for 30 long years and openly stating that CM Chandrababu Naidu would step down within two years, Opposition leader YS Jagan has sit on a two-day Deeksha in Tanuku. Alleging that Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP government failed to fulfill its poll promises, Jagan launched his hunger strike vowing to stand by farmers and SHG (Self-help group) women. After protesting outside district collectorates in various districts, Jagan Reddy's "hunger strike" in the delta town of West Godavari raises several concerns.

Jagan's "hunger" for power naturally tops the list of his wish list, if his recent statements are anything to go by. Considering that it's hardly 8 months Naidu sworn in as the CM and recently AP got its share of bureaucrats post bifurcation and severe financial crunch in the state is looming large, one could expect the Opposition leader to fight against the Central government rather than fighting against our own State government, commented a political analyst. Observers too opine that Jagan's desperate for power seems to be behind his Deeksha.

Also, the moot question is that why did Jagan oppose to the idea of waiving of farm loans, Dwacra loans before elections and how come now he's suddenly all out for it by putting pressure on state government. Naturally it's evident that Jagan's Deeksha is a publicity stunt to grab headlines and gain sympathy among people.
