Comedian Prudhvi is the man of the moment. It’s not exaggerated to say that ther’re very few Telugu films (could be counted on fingers) that released in 2016 without having Prudhvi in the cast. With Prudhvi being publicized as the lead and Saloni (of “Maryada Ramanna” fame) his love interest, the film garnered good buzz. And Naveen Chandra being the main protagonist, the film has good expectations. Let’s see whether the film lived up to its expectations or not.
The movie is releasing today and Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu movie review is here for you.

Story: Prasanth (Naveen Chandra) and Priya (Shruthi Sodhi), daughter of billionaire Murali Sharma, fall for each other. Since Priya is a rich girl, naturally, her father won’t agree for her love. Prasanth challenges him to lose money and incur loss to learn the value of people.
Taking up that challenge, Murali Sharma invites people to come up with different ideas to get loss. And he ends up advised to produce a film. He ropes in a utter flop director and a pseudo producer to make a ‘flop’ film for him. They zero in on Mahesh Babu (Prudhvi) and Samantha (Saloni) for the film. What forms rest is the movie.

Performances: Prudhvi as Variation Star Mahesh Babu steals the show. Scenes involving him and Saloni are hilarious. Saloni is a good performer. She once again stick to her natural performance. Be it emotional scenes or fun scenes, Saloni as Samantha
Murali Sharma is a method actor. He would easily get under the skin of any character. And he proved this again with his role as a rich businessman who realizes the value of love.
Posani as producer Tatarao and Raghubabu as Roldgold Ramesh

Too many references/spoofs

Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu Movie Review Final Verdict:
Tollywood has witnessed several spoof films. Allari Naresh’s Sudigadu and Sampoornesh Babu’s Hrudaya Kaleyam are few noted examples that have succeeded and set a benchmark. Prudhvi’s Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu follows the same line. Though the film’s plot seem unrealistic and sans logic, it has its moments that tickle your funny bone. Especially, witty one-liners make the film more engaging and entertaining. They’ve gelled well into the script.
However, the film falls flat. Too many references to star heroes and their spoofs may not go well with audience who expect food-for-thought. If your’e not a fan of brainy content, Meelo Evaru Koteeswarudu is your choice.
