Super Star Fans Celebrating #15YearsOfCultOkkadu

Mahesh Babu is a Tollywood Superstar now.  Mahesh entered Telugu films as the son of Superstar Krishna with 'Rajakumarudu'.  The audience used to refer him as Prince right from the beginning of his career.  But it was 'Okkadu' which brought him star image.  

'Okkadu' is the seventh film of Mahesh Babu career and it was released in 2003.   Mahesh tasted two flops just before 'Okkadu'.  But Guna Sekhar directorial became a turning point of Mahesh Babu career.  It has been fifteen years since 'Okkadu' release and the fans started celebrating the occasion by trending #15YearsOfCultOkkadu in the social media.

MS Raju production values played a major role in the success of the film.  Erecting Charminar set and picturising crucial sequences in the set and its surroundings created a huge sensation and it has created a trend of huge sets in the Tollywood.  'Okkadu' achieved 8 Nandi awards in various categories.  Mahesh Babu received the best actor award in Filmfare... CineMaa awards for this film.
