Story:

Unfortunately, The kidnap plot goes awry when its comes to implementation. Watch the movie in your nearby theatres to know what went wrong and how the story ended...!

Artists Performance:

Lakshmi Manchu is just okay in her role of a Movie Star. Her Comedy Scenes are too loud and all she gets is a thumbs down for the poor show. Adivi Sesh leaves a good impression with his manly looks and matured performance. Other Gang Members Madhu Nandan and Prabhakar did justice to their roles. Brahmanandam as private detective is really funny. Scenes featuring Pragathi who appears as Lakshmi's Mom came out well. Jayaprakash gives a decent performance as cop. 30 Years Pruthvi does a brief role. Cameo of Rana Daggubati is fine.

Plus Points:

- Party Song

- Twists

- Second Half

Minus Points:

- First Half

- Outdated Comedy
- Dragged Narration

Analysis:

Vamsi Krishna, a protege of Gautham Menon, made his directorial debut with 'Dongata', a crime comedy based on the kidnap of an Actress. Being a first-timer, He does a decent job and earns brownie points with the way Second Half has been executed.

Music by Raghu Kunche is decent enough and the picturization of the party song is so nice. Cinematography is pretty good. Dialogues are strictly okay. Editing could have been better in the First Half. Production Values of Manchu Entertainments are worth mentioning.

'Dongata' starts on a slow note and the first half is big disappointment. Second Half is a bit of relief though with some interesting twists and good performances from Adivi Sesh, Brahmi & Pragathi.

Box Office: 'Dongata' is a film made on a shoe-string budget and it has got a limited release. Opening Weekend would be very crucial. So, Let's wait till Monday to judge this Crime Comedy.

Verdict: Just Passable!
