This is the remark of the YSRC president YS Jaganmohan Reddy has who made a stunning remark on the Railway accident at Kothacheruvu on the Bengaluru-Nanded express which took 26 lives this morning.

Demanding the Centre and Railway Ministry to own up the responsibility YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said the Government should be more accountable and transparent by making the public know about the action it has taken after every accident instead of setting up Commission, paying ex-gratia and washing the hands off. 'If you can not stop the accidents caused due to human failure or tech failures, better stop running trains' he told the rail minister.

'How many commissions you set up?, what is the outcome of these commissions? Have they ever found the truth and helped the passengers' Jagan said after visiting the accident spot. Adding that this is the third accident in a space of 16 months where compartments caught fire and the Government has failed to rectify the errors nor tell the reasons for the mishap or the steps initiated to instill confidence among the passengers.

First such flash fire being on May 21, 2012 at Penukonda and the second being near Nellore on July 30 and this is the third one in close frequency.

Three train accidents taking place in the region within 16 months and the Government shows no concern and do not take corrective measures speak of its indifference. The Railway ministry is using old and condemned compartments and playing with the lives of the passengers, said Jagan.
