Medak Collector Smitha Sabharwal has been in news recently for turning emotional during the felicitation ceremony of Telangana martyrs families on June 2nd which is the formation day of India's 29th state. Her sensitive side has touched the hearts of everyone who witnessed it and KCR isn't an exception.
Just 3 Days after this emotional moment, KCR took the decision of appointing Smitha Sabharwal as his Additional Secretary in the Telangana Chief Minister's Office (CMO). In fact, This wasn't in the CM's agenda until he came to know about teary-eyed moment on June 2nd. KCR even heaped praised on the collector during the public meeting and review meeting in his Assembly constituency Gajwel on Wednesday.
Smitha Sabharwal, a 2001 batch IAS Officer, is known to be an able administrator and her work in the field of education and health in both Medak and Karimnagar districts has earned her laurels from all the sections. Wish her good luck for a much bigger role that need to be played now...!
