Maverick of the Delhi metro rail Dr E Sreedharan has been appointed the adviser to AP government on the metro rail projects for Vijayawada and Visakhapantam.
Sreedharan met AP CM Chandrababu Naidu today at Lake view guest house and discussed the feasibility report on the Metro projects for both Vizag and Vijayawada. After the Hyderabad Metro rail project was jinxed with the scandal of Satyam and Maytas in early 2004. It was Dr Sreedharan who had expressed doubts over the success of the Hyd metro in its present form.
AP CM said two metro rail projects in Visakhapatnam and VGTM (Vijayawada-Guntur-Tenali-Mangalagiri) would be taken up by the Sreedharan team and completed in 3 and half years. Sreedhran will also prepare a feasibility report for a rail based mass rapid transit system and a metro rail project for Tirupati later.rojects
