Coming straight to the point, all the media houses that are associated with Telugu people at the moment are either taking sides or trying to open branches on both sides. To be precise, newspapers and channels that support AP and Telangana have now become either AP-media or T-media or establishments that exist in both the states.
Already Eenadu television has come up with two news channels, naming them ETV2 Andhra Pradesh and ETV2 Telangana. Similarly other bigwigs like TV9 and NTV are also getting ready to launch different channels for both Telugu speaking states separately. Once the capital of Seemandhra is finalized, surely these media houses will open their new branches there. But noticeable thing is that all these media houses have no issues with name as their names doesn't belong to any particular region. But what about popular 'ABN Andhrajyothy' channel and 'Andhrajyothy' newspaper?
Right now, position in Telangana state is that they want to change every name that sounds Andhra and indicates Andhra. In that context, what will be Andhrajyothy renamed to? Because, they can't call their Telangana wing as 'Andhrajyothy Telangana' as the very name itself sounds little tongue-tied for T-people. This sounds like a curios case, but we have to see what this media house's renaming will be like.
