Power Star Pawan Kalyan who had campaigned for TDP-BJP alliance during the elections in 2014 met Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu at his residence in the Jubilee Hills area and discussed about several issues like Special Category Status, AP Capital Package, Central Funds and issues related to AP Capital Farmers in the state. Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Satish Chandra, Ministers Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, P Narayana, Kamineni Srinivas and some top Government officials were also present in the meeting.  The meeting, which lasted for more than an hour, assumed significance as its happening just a day after the presentation of Union Budget 2015 in Parliament.

AP CM on Saturday expressed deep disappointment over the Union Budget with regard to lack of adequate provisions to address most of its major concerns involving finances. CBN was particularly upset with allocation of Rs. 100 crore for the Polavaram project which has been granted national project status.

As per sources, Naidu and Pavan Kalyan will together go to New Delhi to meet the Prime Minister and other Central BJP leaders to represent the case of the State. It is learnt that Pawan was expected to take up the issue of granting Special Category status to AP and seek funds for development. Later, Pawan Kalyan will visit the area of proposed new capital of AP.

Pawan Kalyan had recently remarked on social networking sites that it is time that steps are taken for the implementation of promises made to AP during bifurcation.
