
AP I.T. Ministry plans to conduct road shows in US and UK to attract NRI IT investors to set up software and hardware companies in two tier and 3 tier towns of Andhra Pradesh.
Andhra Pradesh Minister for IT & NRI relations Dr Palle Raghunatha Reddy today addressed a video conference call with over 100 IDF association North American NRI investors of AP from his bungalow and highlighted the salient feartures of the IT policy soon to be declared for their benefit. Over 100 NRI companies from Silicon valley, Dalls, New York, Chicago and Sandiago pressed their interest in setting-up of their companies in Visakhapatnam.
Dr. Reddy invited the US based NRI companies with open arms to come and participate in the proposed inaugural function of Rishikonda IT incubation centre by Honorable Chief Minister of A.P. Nara Chandrababu Naidu during the third week of this September.
American Institute of Big Data Professionals expressed keen interest to set-up a Center of Excellence in Big Data Analytics at Andhra University. Vice-Chancellor of Andhra University has welcomed the initiative. One of the NRI companies working in "Internet of Things IoT" also wanted to explore setting-up of another Center of Excellence in Githam University at Visakhapatnam. They also desired to set-up incubation infrastructure to enable many technology start-up companies to set-up their product development companies in those incubation labs.
JA Chowdary, chairman of IDF said members of the IDF companies want to create about 20,000 jobs in IT and ITES in Andhra Pradesh in the next 3 to 5 years. Some of them (25 companies) wanted to start their operations in the Rishikonda IT Incubation building in the next 6 months.
AP Chief Secretary Sri I.V. Krishna Rao, Principal Secretary of Industries Sri JSV Prasad, Secretary of ITE&C Sri Sanjay Jaju, Collector of Visakhapatnam Dr N.Yuvraj along with J A Chowdary, founder Chairman of IDF participated and assured all support to investors and cut red tapism through single window clearances.
